Manatee Pocket Yacht Sales is a full-service yacht brokerage in Stuart, Florida. We have been trading since 2010 and have closed more than 2,000 boats, including yachts to 76 feet, for clients on the Treasure Coast, across the United States and overseas.
Our income depends on on closing other people’s boats well. Referrals and repeat clients are most of our business, which is why we would rather lose a listing than take one at a price we know will not sell.
Who You Are Dealing With
Ten licensed Florida yacht brokers work from our Stuart office, with additional brokers in Connecticut and the Florida Keys.
Tom Whittington founded the brokerage after a career at Hewlett-Packard and an engineering degree from NC State. He has closed over 1,500 vessels, serves as President of the Marine Industries Association of the Treasure Coast, sits on the board of directors of the Chapman School of Seamanship, and is a member of the Stuart Sunrise Rotary Club.
Nick Williams holds a 100-ton master’s licence and has run boats professionally between Florida, the Keys and the Bahamas. Lee Bowden trained at the Chapman School of Seamanship, holds a 25-ton master captain’s licence, and served with the Indian River County Sheriff’s Marine Division.
Every broker here owns or has run boats on this coast. That is not a marketing line — it is why we can tell you what a hull has actually been through.
Where We Work
Our office is at 4905 SE Dixie Highway in Stuart, minutes from Manatee Pocket and a short run to the St. Lucie Inlet. We list and sell boats across Stuart, Jensen Beach, Palm City, Sewalls Point, Rio, Port Salerno, Hobe Sound, Jupiter, Port St. Lucie and Fort Pierce.
Our reach goes well beyond the Treasure Coast. We regularly handle transactions for buyers and sellers elsewhere in the United States and overseas, and most of a transaction can be completed without either party travelling.
How We Sell Boats
Listing on YachtWorld and Boat Trader is the baseline every broker offers. We add paid search and social advertising against each specific make and model, our own buyer list built over sixteen years, and a broker network that reaches buyers before a boat is public.
Pricing comes from SoldBoats.com closing data, not asking prices. Closings run through YachtCloser. Boats can stay at your marina or be shown at Manatee Marina. Financing options are available for buyers.
